Hello, my name is Gerald "Jay" Dargert and I have lived in Carson City since 1980. I have been married to my wife Carol for 17 years, and we have 3 children. I have been the Owner of MasterCraft Painting & Decorating, Inc since 1990 with experience in the painting industry for 20+ years.

MasterCraft Painting & Decorating, Inc, like many other painting companies, started purely by accident in 18 years ago. At that time I was working for other contractors in the area and felt Carson City and the surrounding areas had a need for better painting services rather than just plain old production painting. So, a friend and myself started J & J Custom Painting and we worked for 2 years together as a team. At the end of the 2 years I felt that there was room for growth in the painting company, so we split our company, he now has his own service and we have MasterCraft Painting & Decorating , Inc.

In the years that have followed we've had ups and downs. At one point we had gotten so caught up in the production industry (housing tracks and such) that we lost control of our tremendous growth. Over the past 7 years we have restructured our company to mainly provide service to residential and commercial repainting. By doing this we offer the best possible repaint service in the area. Our crew is small, but courteous (see customer testimonials) We are members of the P.D.C.A (Painting & Decorating Contractor's of America) and also a Prosult member. We carry all insurance needed for your protection and ours.
